I have so much to tell y'all and no time.

Last time I checked with Sabrina over $4000 was already in, in donations and auction bids. I'm sure it's more by now, if not All the Money. (If you haven't gotten your donation in for your high bid, please do.)

The bank is going to take the money. We are working with the lawyers to use this in order to get the bank to agree to a more favorable interest rate on the mortgage, going forward, to make even more sure that this never happens again.

We had a great party last weekend and I have many tales for you, but I also have exams and nothing new to report. Go check out the Youtube comments; some friends of Dave's have stopped by now that the video has gone out on the party list.

But? Things are all good, and more later. LOVE. YOU. ALL.

Re pressuring the bank -- given all that's going on in Congress, it wouldn't hurt to contact your local Senator or Representative and ask if s/he can nudge the loan officer at the bank. Might be worth a try...

Youtube comments? Where do I look? (I'm not on the party list.)

Go to the Youtube video I posted last week, click into it on Youtube (click twice on embedded video, I think), and the comments are below the video for anyone to see. :D The "party list" just advised the locals of the existence of the video, which y'all had already gotten.

Oh, I really hope Dave gets a better interest rate -- that would surely help. :-)

I'm also keeping my fingers crossed for you: may all of your exams go swimmingly!

Outstanding! I was just thinking about this today (I got my oh-so-nifty virus-catcher that I won in the auction) and wondering if things had been resolved with the bank. I'm glad things are moving in the right direction and will keep fingers crossed for an improved interest rate!

glad you liked it :)

I hope the others go through as well :)

Hey, haven't heard from you yet about your auction win. I sent you my e-mail address in a private message. Get back to me when you can. Thanks.

I replied. I originally sent the info 11.2; if you can't find it, let me know and I'll resend.

I'll check again. I'll let you know if I find it or not. My apologies either way.

Eh, is not a problem; things happen, and I'm so busy I can't find my extremities right now, so I'm sure other people are not much better off. :D I really appreciate it!

No problem at all. Thanks for bidding and buying! :D

That is awesome!

Say, a question...what do you suggest that I do about an auction winner who has dropped off the face of the earth? I have his bookbag ready to send and don't have an address to which to send it.

I understand its to be a Christmas present and I want to get it to him; plus, since I'm now moving in a few weeks, I need to tidy loose ends.

Heard back from him, so YAY, this will go out tomorrow.

SO glad this is having a happy ending; hoping to see some more of those.

My suggestions: LJ private message; check his profile page for an e-mail address; make a post to the community so hopefully he sees it on his f-list. Was there an address on the paypal receipt?

No, but he's now sent me his address and all is well.

I'll be sending it out tomorrow.

Now if only the rest of my challenges were all resolved so easily...

Hey there. I've hesitated about doing this but I now find myself in a bind. I'm suddenly getting a divorce; packing to move all my stuff and moving back to Kansas City. I'm starting over again at 55 with no savings, no insurance, no job, no car and now no partner to help assure the security I thought I had. I have nothing but my good attitude, my talents and my amazing support structure.

Scary as Hell, especially at this age. apocalyptic_bob for whom I put together that fundraiser for her car engine this summer, is now doing the same for me, to try to put together a fund for my share of the mediator's fee ($750) and plus moving expenses. The group is rescue_rowan. I'm selling as many of my books, nifty bits, garb and faire stuff as I can to also raise money.

My soon-to-be-ex's idea of "doing the right thing" is different than mine. I have friends to stay with and a 20-year car I'm being loaned for the time being. My goal is to find a job and get my own place as soon as I can but right now, it's...challenging. We're trying to be "not mean" during this process AND we're trying to hold the Celtic band together, which is why I'm not wanting to make a 'poor pitiful me' thing out of this.

If you could help spread the word, I'd appreciate it.
